My little sister is a testament to the fact that the Savior lives.
She is two years old and she bears testimony of him on a daily basis.
but then...
She has even as an infant.
I have a picture of Jesus Christ sitting on my bedside table.
One day while I was watching my sister
who was very young at the time, not even a year old,
I took her down to my room and was standing with her
near my bedside table
making my bed one handed
And she suddenly was leaning forward, pointing,
And calling out.
Unsure of what she wanted I stepped closer
and leaned her forward to see what she would point to
She was pointing at the picture of Christ.
Tears filled my eyes as I handed her the picture
And she took it from me
And gave him a kiss.
Before she said hardly any words other than Mom or Dad
Sophie knew Jesus,
Of course we said Jesus's name on occasion but babies
usually learn through repetition, that's why it made more sense
for her to be saying Mom or Dad
But she knew him.
She kissed him every time she saw a picture of him.
And now today, Sophie has a picture of Jesus in her room
and no matter who goes to get her after she's woken up
in the morning, she always points to the picture and says
"Jesus Love's Me."
